🔅 How does it work?

In a light microscope, light is used to see the object. Here’s how:

  • Light passes through the object.
  • Then it goes through two glass lenses:
    • The first lens magnifies the object (makes it bigger).
    • The second lens magnifies it again (makes it even bigger!).
  • The light forms a clear, enlarged image that reaches your eyes.
  • Light microscopes can magnify up to 1500 times (1500X).
    That means an object appears 1500 times bigger than it really is.

🧠 Example:
If a cell is 0.001 mm, under a light microscope it would appear about 1.5 mm, which is big enough to be seen easily.
