  • The Liquid Phase (Boiling Point Curve) shows the boiling temperature of the liquid mixture at different compositions of Component A.
  • The Vapor Phase (Dew Point Curve) shows the composition of the vapor in equilibrium with the boiling liquid at that temperature.
  • The Azeotropic Point (purple dot) is the unique composition where the liquid and vapor phases have identical mole fractions. At this point, the mixture boils at a constant (minimum or maximum) temperature and cannot be separated by simple distillation.
