Similarly, to build a living organism, nature uses cells like bricks.
So, what is a cell?
👉 A cell is the smallest living unit that can carry out all functions necessary for life. It’s like a tiny factory where a lot of work happens to keep organisms alive.
🧫 Unicellular vs. Multicellular Organisms

🎯 Remember: Even if a plant doesn’t run or walk, its parts like leaves or roots move in response to sunlight or gravity.
🔋 2. Respiration
- Cells need energy to do work.
- They get energy from glucose (sugar) by breaking it down in a process called respiration.
- The energy produced is called ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate), the battery of the cell.
Example: Just like your phone needs charging, your cells need ATP to stay “charged” and work properly.

- It means keeping internal conditions stable.
- Cells control things like water, temperature, and salt levels.
